Kendal Golf Club

A superb mix of a challenging, well-maintained golf course, stunning views, and a warm welcome, Kendal Golf Club offers everything any visitor could possibly need.

From its elevated position overlooking the historic old town of Kendal, the panoramic views from Kendal Golf Club are simply breathtaking. At different times you can see as far as the Yorkshire Dales to the east, the Lake District to the north, while to the south lies Morecambe Bay.

The course, although not long by modern standards, is a fair and true test of golf for players of all abilities, with every hole a different challenge. The course is kept in excellent condition, and its limestone drainage ensures that the course remains playable year round in all but the most extreme weather.

The signature hole is the 17th, a mere 129 yards from the back tees. Although the hole is short, part of the green is tucked away behind a high natural outcrop of limestone, which must be cleared to have any chance of making a par. The hole is called The Battleship because of the size and shape of its rocky feature. A chance of a birdie, although many a player has been relieved to walk off with a par 3.

We are very proud of our course, and also have excellent catering facilities, hosted by our Catering Manager, Dave Campbell. The well-stocked Pro Shop is run by our PGA Professional, Nick Barron, who is available for lessons, either individual or group, for members and non-members alike. He will also take care of any buggy or trolley hire needs for your visit.
